Monthly HighlightsThis page offers a light-hearted reflection on the highlights of the previous month, as well as a preview of things to come!
With the evenings getting noticeably cooler and Hamilton suburbs now filled with autumn colours, its hard to believe that winter is nearly upon us again, already – the year is certainly marching along!
Winter for our family brings the start of kid’s sport (and the end of lazy Saturday mornings!). My 5 year old son Boston has started soccer and is showing all the signs of skill and coordination that his father lacked at the same age! 7 goals of the team’s 17 is a pretty good start, and it’s great to see him loving it.
Another highlight this month was the Lodge Real Estate awards function at Waikato Stadium, which saw Vaughan Heslop and Mike Thomas from my office recognised for their success as Lodge’s #2 and #3 salespeople respectively. Janine Missen also secured the award for Most Promising Salesperson (Rookie of the Year), and very well deserved. And I was pleased to again be recognised for ‘outstanding sales performance’ as one of 18 who qualified for Gold Club entry (of 71 salespeople at Lodge), in what was a very challenging market. I am looking forward to the Waikato/BOP REINZ awards in June, at which Lodge salespeople typically scoop up many of the Top 10 awarded residential salespeople.
In July I will compete in this year’s National Real Estate Auctioneers Championships, and hope to pick up the Novice title. Having not called many auctions at this stage it might be an interesting experience!
